Software and Platforms
YAVA builds bespoke software and operational platforms for organisations whose systems have to work in demanding conditions. We design, build, integrate, deploy and support the software, rather than handing over code and leaving.

Problems we are brought in for
Where this work matters.
Off-the-shelf that nearly fits
Products that force the operation to bend around the software instead of supporting it.
Software that stops at the demo
Systems that work in a pilot but not at a live site with real data, users and connectivity.
No one accountable after launch
Build teams that disappear at go-live, leaving no one who understands the system when it matters.
Services
What sits under software and platforms.
Each service below is delivered on its own or combined with others. Bespoke software and operational platforms, built to run the work rather than demonstrate it.
Web applications
Secure, responsive web applications for operational and client-facing use, built to hold up under real workloads.
Mobile applications
Field and operational mobile apps, including for intermittent connectivity and shared devices.
Operational platforms
Platforms that run a live operation day to day, bringing workflow, data and integrations into one accountable system.
Client and operational portals
Portals that give clients, partners and field teams controlled access to the information and actions they need.
ERP and CRM systems
Selection, configuration and integration of ERP and CRM systems so they fit the operation rather than dictate it.
Workflow automation
Automating manual, error-prone steps in an operational process, with the controls and audit trail the work requires.
API and cloud-native development
Well-documented APIs and cloud-native services that let systems connect cleanly and scale predictably.
Software modernisation
Modernising ageing software in stages, reducing risk and cost without a single high-risk rewrite.
DevOps and continuous delivery
Build, test and release pipelines that make change safe and frequent rather than rare and risky.
UX and interface design
Interfaces designed for people doing real operational work, tested for clarity under pressure.
Application support
Ongoing support, maintenance and improvement of the software we and others build, including out of hours where required.
How we deliver
Delivery.
We work in short cycles from discovery to support, with continuous delivery rather than one high-risk hand-over. Much of the engineering is done from our Kolkata Technology and Innovation Centre, with deployment and support at the asset.
How it connects
Integration.
Our software is built to connect. It integrates with your existing IT, operational technology and data, so it becomes part of the operation rather than another island.
YAVA advises, builds, integrates, deploys and supports. This capability is one part of a single lifecycle, not a standalone product.
Where we apply it
Relevant sectors.
Applicable experience
Evidence.
Representative work relevant to this capability. Some engagements are anonymised by client where confidentiality requires it.
YAVA does not publish invented clients, projects or results. Where a client is not named, the engagement is described by sector, region and year, with accurate technical detail.
FAQ
Common questions.
Do you build from scratch or configure existing products?
Both. We build bespoke software where it is justified and configure or integrate existing products where that is the better answer. The choice is driven by the requirement, not by what we prefer to sell.
Can you take over software someone else built?
Yes. We assess, stabilise, modernise and support software originally delivered by others, including where documentation is thin.
Do you support the software after launch?
Yes. We provide application support and continuous improvement, including out of hours where an operation requires it.
Can YAVA work in remote or low-connectivity environments?
Yes. Much of our work is at remote and high-risk sites. We design for intermittent connectivity and can deploy field engineers where support on the ground is limited.
Who is accountable once the system is live?
The same team that advises and builds also supports the system in operation, so there is a single line of accountability to the client rather than a hand-off between firms.
How is a piece of work scoped and priced?
Each engagement is scoped and priced on its own terms, with the deliverables, service levels and assumptions agreed and written down before work begins.
Can you work alongside our existing suppliers?
Yes. We routinely deliver inside existing frameworks and alongside incumbent suppliers, including on systems built by others.
