Leadership
Harry Geisler is YAVA's founding partner, leading business development and strategy with over a decade advising governments, international organisations and the United Nations.
At YAVA, he has supported a $250 million manufacturing agreement, airport modernisation and assessments of more than 30 infrastructure assets.
He holds master's degrees from King's College London and University College London in finance, real estate and planning.
Sumit Dubey brings a background in investment banking and strategic advisory to YAVA's work across Asia. As a founding partner, he develops partnerships with governments, institutional clients and technology companies, focusing on public-sector innovation, autonomous systems and cross-border ventures.
He holds an MSc in Banking and Finance with Distinction from King's College London and a first-class degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Calcutta.
Advisors
Advisors support YAVA on communications and corporate development. They are not involved in the delivery of client engagements.
Nicholas ('Nick') Ismail is YAVA's Branding and Communications Advisor, helping present the company's work clearly to clients, partners and the public.
He has more than nine years' experience in technology journalism, content strategy and thought leadership. He currently leads global content and thought leadership for a major multinational organisation and was previously Editor of Information Age.
He holds a master's degree in TV Journalism from City, University of London and a degree in English Literature from the University of Manchester.
Technical leadership
YAVA's engineering, platform, delivery, design and infrastructure functions are led from the Technology and Innovation Centre in Kolkata, which carries out much of the software and systems work.
Kunal Pramanik leads YAVA's Backend and Platform Engineering team, designing scalable backend systems, APIs and cloud-native applications.
He has over six years' experience building enterprise applications, payment integrations and cloud platforms. His expertise includes Laravel, PHP, Node.js, Vue.js, AWS, Docker, MySQL, PostgreSQL and DevOps.
He holds a Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology from Durgapur Institute of Advanced Technology and Management.
Subhajit Ghorai leads YAVA's Delivery and Technical Programme Management team, overseeing software projects and cross-functional teams.
He brings over a decade of experience in software development and product delivery across logistics, ERP, e-commerce, invoicing and hospitality. His expertise includes PHP, Laravel, CodeIgniter, JavaScript, MySQL, Vue.js and REST APIs.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Tamralipta Institute of Management and Technology.
Tapas Maity leads YAVA's Product Design and User Experience team, creating accessible digital products across web and mobile platforms.
He has over five years' experience in frontend development, mobile applications and interface design across SaaS platforms and enterprise software. His expertise includes React, React Native, Flutter, TypeScript, JavaScript, and UI and UX design.
He focuses on usability, performance and product design.
Anirban Pradhan leads YAVA's Application Engineering team, overseeing delivery of applications, cloud platforms and AI-enabled software.
His experience covers full-stack development, cloud engineering, microservices and software architecture. He works with ASP.NET Core, C#, React.js, SQL Server, Azure, AWS, DevOps and AI.
He holds degrees in Production and Automation Engineering and Computer Science and is pursuing a PhD at IIIT Sri City.
Pabitra Mondal leads YAVA's Infrastructure Engineering team, overseeing cloud infrastructure, DevOps and application delivery.
His experience covers cloud architecture, backend development, automation and enterprise software. He works with AWS, CI and CD, .NET, Laravel, Docker, Kubernetes, JavaScript and MySQL, following earlier software engineering roles.
He holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Durgapur Institute of Advanced Technology and Management.
Associates
YAVA engages vetted associates and specialists for specific work, under a single line of accountability to the client and within YAVA's compliance and quality framework.
Christopher Clowes is a YAVA associate working across strategic advisory, project management and procurement for governments, multinational corporations and intergovernmental organisations.
He brings a background in data and analytics, carbon markets and European policy, including a traineeship at the European Parliament and independent consulting across Europe and Latin America, with a particular interest in the geopolitical, intelligence and security space.
He holds a BEng from Oxford Brookes University.
Kaan Genc is a YAVA associate focused on health, wellbeing and human performance.
With over a decade as a functional coach in strength, movement mechanics and holistic rehabilitation, he supports the physical resilience, readiness and recovery of people working in demanding and remote conditions, where sustained performance matters as much as the technology around them.
He has delivered coaching and led retreats and training teams internationally, and brings a structured, performance-led approach to keeping teams effective in the field.
Regional and field teams
Beyond the named leadership, YAVA delivers through regional teams at its bases in London, Geneva, Nairobi, Kolkata and Dubai, and through field engineers who work at remote and high-risk sites. A significant part of the field team is drawn from experienced former military personnel, including veterans of the British and Indian Armies.
Whoever is engaged, from named leadership to regional associates, works under a single line of accountability to the client, within YAVA's compliance and quality framework.
