A high-level delegation from the Legal Rights Council (LRC) of India travelled to Dubai this week, undertaking a series of strategic engagements aimed at strengthening international collaborations, promoting cultural initiatives, and advancing the organisation’s mission of justice, legal awareness, and human rights.

The delegation was led by Hon’ble President of the Legal Rights Council, T.V. Madan Kumar (Guru Ji), and included Mahender Turakiya, National Vice President; Maa Rajalaxmi Manda, General Secretary; Pon Logu, Vice President of LRC International; Priya Logu, Tamil Nadu State Secretary; alongside Dubai-based Executive Members Dr. Hiroshini, Dr. Vinodh, and Sasirekha. and Harry Geisler (YAVA CEO) Overseas Representative for the Council, was also part of the delegation.

The visit focused on three core objectives: introducing the Legal Rights Council to influential stakeholders in the United Arab Emirates, securing support for the construction of a 180-foot-tall Shiba Temple in India, and commencing planning for the Peace Drive 2026 — a major sustainability and peace-building initiative scheduled for early 2026.

During the visit, the delegation engaged with prominent figures from the UAE’s legal, business, and philanthropic communities. One of the highlights was a special visit to the BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi, the first traditional Hindu stone temple in the Middle East. Inaugurated on 14 February 2024, the Mandir has quickly become a powerful symbol of interfaith harmony, cultural unity, and global brotherhood. The visit served as a reminder of the shared values between India and the UAE in fostering religious freedom and mutual respect.

In addition to cultural visits, the delegation held key meetings with prominent UAE leaders including Ghanim AlFalasi, Senior Vice President of Technology and Entrepreneurship at Dubai Silicon Oasis; Dr. Bu Abdullah, Chairman of Bu Abdullah Investment Group; and Dr. Munir Ahmad, Group CEO of H.H. Sheikh Abdulhakim Al Maktoum Group Holdings. Discussions during these engagements focused on building long-term partnerships to support LRC’s programmes in India and abroad.

One of the major outcomes of the visit was the announcement that the Legal Rights Council will be establishing a chapter in the United Arab Emirates. This move marks a significant milestone for the Council, which has been working to expand its efforts in providing free legal consultancy, raising awareness of legal rights, and promoting access to justice for underserved and marginalised communities globally.

“Our mission has always been to ensure that justice is not a privilege but a right accessible to all,” said Maa Rajalaxmi Manda, General Secretary of the Legal Rights Council. “Through collaborations like these, we are taking strong steps towards making that vision a global reality.”

The delegation also initiated planning for the upcoming Peace Drive 2026, a bold, large-scale initiative that will see participants travel over 10,000 kilometres from Delhi to Dubai, promoting messages of peace, sustainability, and global cooperation. Meetings were held with potential partners, government representatives, and sponsors in Dubai to begin laying the groundwork for what promises to be a landmark event in February 2026.

Throughout the visit, the delegation emphasised the importance of unity, compassion, and shared responsibility in building more equitable societies. By connecting with leading figures in Dubai’s thriving legal, business, and cultural ecosystems, the Legal Rights Council has reinforced its commitment to advancing human rights, fighting corruption, and ensuring that legal protection reaches the most vulnerable.

As the Legal Rights Council looks towards establishing its UAE chapter and preparing for major upcoming projects, the visit to Dubai stands as a testament to the Council’s growing global presence and unwavering dedication to justice without borders.
